Our home built shepherd hut is beautifully equipped with everything you will need for a relaxing, memorable, comfortable stay. There is a comfy kingsize bed and a childs bunk above with memory foam mattresses and made up with fresh duvets, plump pillows and beautiful linen. The kitchen area contains a small sink with running water, single gas hob, pretty china crockery, kitchen and cooking utensils. The wood burning stove will keep you toasty warm and the views from the stable door towards Wistlandpound Reservoir are amazing.
The Shepherd Hut is set away on its own and has a fenced garden, gated access to the stream, outside seating and a private fire pit. A Dutch oven is available for cooking on the open fire.
It is possible to hire the Shepherd Hut for small group bookings, with camping available in the field next to the Shepherd Hut garden. There is also a bed and breakfast room in the farmhouse available for extra guests.
The shepherd’s hut was traditionally used in the 19th and 20th century by shepherds during sheep raising and lambing. They were also used while moving flocks around for “natural fertilizer” purposes.
Shepherd’s huts often had iron wheels and corrugated iron tops. We’ve built this one ourselves and reinvented it slightly it’s the perfect romantic get away. Come and live out your childhood gypsy dreams

Camping is also available next to the Shepherds hut for children or extra adults. There is a double ensuit bed and breakfast room in the farm house, available for friends or relations who wish to join you, but for whom camping or glamping is not for them.
